Project Qualification Before Lead Acceptance
Projects That Meet The Program Standard
- Identifiable organization: A company, institution, agency, brand, IP owner, retail operator, or authorized project entity with verifiable business information.
- Legitimate design rights: Original assets, owned trademarks, licensed characters, authorized brand files, or another defensible right to request development and production.
- Responsible contact: A decision-maker or project manager involved in product, design, licensing, procurement, merchandise, operations, or management.
- Commercial direction: A defined product use, sales channel, campaign, event, release, gift program, or merchandise plan.
- Quantity planning: An estimated quantity by product or SKU sufficient for commercial manufacturing evaluation.
- Project information: Available artwork, target size, product type, market, age group, packaging direction, budget framework, and target delivery date.
- Approval readiness: A person or team capable of reviewing samples, approving files, confirming packaging, and making commercial decisions.
Referrals Pufumi May Decline
Pufumi may decline an opportunity when the request conflicts with legal, commercial, operational, or brand-positioning requirements. Declining a lead does not criticize the organization; it means the submitted request does not currently match the manufacturing program. Common reasons include:
- Unauthorized characters: Requests involving copied animation, game, film, sports, university, artist, celebrity, or brand assets without legitimate rights.
- Personal one-off products: Individual gifts, portrait dolls, pet memorials, birthday items, or single-piece personal requests.
- Anonymous submissions: Company names without a contact relationship, business email, consent, project background, or commercial context.
- Purchased lead lists: Bulk data collected through scraping, list brokers, spam databases, or another source without a genuine professional introduction.
- Existing Pufumi relationships: Organizations already recorded as active inquiries, quoted accounts, current clients, prior clients, or connected entities under an existing project.
- Pure price collection: Requests seeking only an unsupported lowest price without artwork, quantity, market, packaging, timing, or willingness to clarify specifications.
- Unworkable project structure: Excessive SKU fragmentation, insufficient quantity per version, unrealistic approval timing, or a budget unable to support engineered development.
- Misleading representation: A partner claiming to be a Pufumi employee, exclusive global agent, factory owner, certifying body, or authorized signatory without written authority.
A declined referral may be reconsidered after missing rights, contacts, quantities, specifications, or commercial information are resolved.
Choose The Right Partnership Path
Referral Partner
Referral Partners are generally not responsible for:
- Preparing a manufacturing quotation.
- Collecting sample or production payments.
- Making technical promises.
- Approving product specifications.
- Inspecting production.
- Managing export documents.
- Handling product claims.
Referral Partners remain free to support introductions and relationship continuity but may not issue commitments on behalf of Pufumi without written authorization.
Agency Partner
An Agency Partner remains actively involved in the relationship with the end organization. Creative agencies, licensing companies, brand consultancies, product studios, and sourcing firms may manage briefing, concept presentation, approvals, schedules, or broader campaign responsibilities while Pufumi performs the agreed manufacturing work.
The Agency Partner Agreement should define:
- End-client ownership.
- Contact and communication permissions.
- Whether Pufumi communicates directly or through the agency.
- Quotation visibility.
- Neutral or white-label materials.
- Presentation responsibilities.
- Commercial margin or commission structure.
- Invoice and payment arrangements.
- Confidentiality and data separation.
- Case-study and image permissions.
- Non-circumvention boundaries.
- Responsibility for approvals and scope changes.
Agency commission commonly falls within a separately agreed 3%–5% range when the agency contributes ongoing commercial or project coordination. An alternative structure may allow the agency to manage its own margin. No agency commercial arrangement applies until signed documentation defines responsibilities and financial treatment.

- Special requirements: Licensing approvals, packaging, testing, electronics, retail labels, split delivery, FBA, 3PL, or destination warehouse needs.
Lead Review Status And Next Actions
Pufumi records each submission under a clear review status. The status helps prevent assumptions about acceptance and gives the partner a defined next action.
- Submitted: The registration has entered the review queue but has not yet received attribution.
- More Information Required: Essential relationship, contact, company, rights, quantity, or project information is missing.
- Accepted: The opportunity qualifies for attribution and enters the stated protection period.
- Duplicate Submission: Another valid partner registration was accepted earlier.
- Existing Account: Pufumi already holds a qualifying inquiry, quotation, project, order, or related-company record.
- Not Qualified: The opportunity currently lacks commercial substance or does not match program requirements.
- Rights Review Required: The project involves third-party assets and needs additional authorization clarification.
- Closed: The protection period expired without meaningful progress or the referred organization ended the project.
- Converted: The referral produced an eligible paid bulk manufacturing order.
- Commission Pending: Order validation is underway.
- Commission Approved: Pufumi completed the internal calculation and placed the amount into a payout cycle.
Acceptance protects attribution under the agreement; it does not guarantee pricing, sampling, production acceptance, approval success, delivery timing, sales performance, or commission.

Engineering And Production Control Behind The Product
Artwork does not move directly into bulk sewing. Pufumi reviews the character silhouette, facial landmarks, head-to-body proportion, thickness, seams, fabric direction, filling, clothing, accessories, center of gravity, packaging, and production access before developing the first controlled sample.
The sample route may include:
- Artwork and reference review.
- Pattern engineering.
- Fabric and thread selection.
- Trial embroidery or printing.
- V1 prototype.
- Consolidated sample review.
- Revision sample.
- Pre-production sample.
- Golden Sample approval.
- Production-file release.
A standard prototype benchmark may fall around 7–15 working days after complete files, payment, and critical material confirmation. Complex clothing, multiple SKUs, special materials, electronics, custom accessories, or licensing approvals can require a longer project schedule.
Bulk control relies on:
- Approved paper patterns.
- BOM records.
- Embroidery and print files.
- Material codes.
- SKU codes.
- Sample versions.
- First-piece checks.
- In-process inspection.
- Filling and shaping standards.
- Product and package matching.
- Carton reconciliation.
- Final inspection.
- Retained samples.
- Repeat-order comparison.
Pufumi coordinates production through Oneier-invested resources in Dongguan and Foshan and specialist partners for processes such as custom dyeing, embroidery, printing, hardware, electronics, packaging, third-party testing, and logistics.
Partners should avoid promising a fixed price, sample result, compliance outcome, production period, or arrival date before Pufumi reviews the actual product, quantity, market, packaging, approvals, and delivery conditions.

The agency coordinated creative feedback and final brand approval. Pufumi handled artwork review, pattern engineering, material planning, samples, production files, manufacturing, inspection, packaging control, and shipment preparation.
Commission excluded sample charges, testing, tooling, international freight, duties, bank fees, and other pass-through costs. The amount was approved only after the order was fully paid, products were shipped, the validation period ended, and no unresolved attribution or commercial dispute remained.
Figures represent an anonymized program example rather than a universal quotation, production promise, or guaranteed earning outcome. Product complexity, materials, quantities, packaging, approvals, and commercial structure determine actual terms.
Trust, Compliance & Production Assurance
Confidence for global brands and complex plush programs
Pufumi evaluates each project according to its target market, age grade, materials, construction, labeling, and packaging requirements. Depending on the assigned production site and project scope, our team can support ISO 9001 quality-management documentation and coordinate testing to EN71, ASTM F963, CPSIA, REACH, and other applicable standards. Factory audits, certifications, and test reports are verified by issuing body, validity period, facility, and product scope, giving brands greater transparency from sample development through controlled production and delivery.

Affiliate Program Frequently Asked Questions
Creative agencies, licensing consultants, toy designers, brand advisers, sourcing professionals, established creators, event agencies, retail specialists, and trusted industry partners may apply. Approval depends on professional background, referral methods, commercial relationships, target industries, reputation, and alignment with Pufumi’s manufacturing position. Program access is not automatic, and Pufumi may approve a limited partnership scope or trial period.
An accepted referral represents a verifiable organization with a genuine contact, legitimate product rights, a commercial plush requirement, useful project information, an achievable quantity plan, and consent to introduction. Pufumi must confirm acceptance in writing. A company name, purchased contact, public email address, or speculative list entry does not create attribution or commission rights.
The standard initial protection period is up to 180 days from written acceptance. Pufumi may extend protection when meaningful project activity continues, including meetings, NDA review, artwork assessment, quotations, sampling, approvals, or active procurement discussions. Protection can expire when communication stops, essential information remains unavailable, the project closes, or the partner violates program rules.
Pufumi reviews submission time, completeness, genuine relationship, contact consent, existing account records, related entities, and project substance. Priority normally goes to the earliest complete and valid registration accepted in writing. A speculative name entry does not defeat a later submission supported by an active relationship and a qualified project.
The standard Referral Partner rate is 3% of eligible net manufacturing revenue from the first completed bulk order. Eligible revenue generally covers approved plush manufacturing and any packaging specifically included by agreement. Samples, development, tooling, testing, freight, duties, taxes, fees, refunds, credits, unpaid amounts, and unrelated third-party costs are excluded.
Commission is reviewed after the eligible bulk order is fully paid, products are shipped, and the validation period ends without an unresolved refund, cancellation, serious claim, attribution dispute, or payment reversal. Approved amounts enter the next monthly payout cycle. A USD 100 minimum balance may apply, with smaller amounts carried forward.
Yes. Agency Partner Agreements can define end-client ownership, direct-contact permissions, quotation visibility, neutral documents, white-label support, approval roles, commission or margin, confidentiality, case-study rights, and non-circumvention boundaries. Protection requires valid lead registration, active professional involvement, and compliance with the signed agreement.
Partners may use current, approved images and materials within the permitted purpose, channel, period, and editing rules. Unauthorized client products, confidential samples, outdated data, restricted factory areas, private technical files, and unapproved claims cannot be published. Pufumi may require removal or replacement of materials after an update, expiry, or program termination.
No. Prices and schedules depend on artwork, size, quantity, SKU count, materials, workmanship, packaging, market, testing, approvals, production loading, and delivery conditions. Partners may explain Pufumi’s process but cannot issue binding quotations, guarantee sample approval, promise fixed production timing, or confirm arrival dates without written Pufumi authorization.
Yes. Pufumi may suspend or terminate participation for false claims, spam, privacy violations, unauthorized IP, misleading representation, fabricated leads, brand misuse, account reservation, confidentiality breaches, payment fraud, manipulation of attribution, or other agreement violations. Valid commission already earned remains subject to the signed terms, investigation, adjustments, and legal requirements.
